We have a team of students that work as ecowatchers. It changes every week and they have to give advices regarding the use of paper bins, looking after the plants in the playground and they also have to mediate in social relationships when something happen at playtime.
This is really connected to the current project and it will be useful for other partners.
Our school is very conscious of the environment, as the main activity in this area is agriculture and livestock. We are Echo-school from more than 12 years and we have been awarded with the European Green Flag. Our activities are focused mainly on environment, recycling and responsible consumption, among many others.
We have a green house at school and our children grow several kind of vegetables at school which can be also useful for the project because it encourages in children very important values.
We also participate in a program in Spain called “Director Plan” in which a couple of policemen come to school to talk to children about different topics such as Cyber bullying, gender violence, etc every year.
We also encourage in children the importance of foreign languages, so we are a CLIL school and we teach sciences in English.
All children start to learn English since they are 3 years old. They also learn French since they are 6 years old.
